Large consignment of contraband seized in Tripura village

Agartala, Jun 17 (UNI) In an anti-drug operation at the bordering Bhati Kalamcherra village under Kamalasagar police station of West Tripura, BSF troops recovered a huge quantity of contraband items today but nobody was arrested in connection with the case.
BSF said during a search at a rubber estate close to the barbed fence along the border in the area, troops recovered seven polybags, believed to be kept for smuggling to Bangladesh,concealed under bushes.
The BSF personnel opened the polybags and recovered another eight packets containing16,200 Yaba Tablets worth Rs 81 Lakh, 55 Bottles of Beer worth Rs. 6,600, 34 Bottles of Whiskey worth Rs. 3,400 and seven Bottles of Eskuf Syrup worth Rs. 738.50.
