Landslide death to lessen in Sikkim after installation of the real-time warning system

Gangtok, Sep 24 (UNI) People living in the Sikkim- Darjeeling belt, considered most vulnerable to landslides in the North East Himalayas, can now heave a sigh of relief.
A new real-time warning system in Chandmari village in Gangtok is complete to issue alerts, Dr Maneesha Sudheer, Director of the Centre for Wireless Networks & Applications at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, spearheading the installation, said.
