New Delhi, Jun 20 (UNI) President Ram Nath Kovind on Thursday again highlighted the NDA government’s objective to make India a five trillion dollar economy by 2024 and said the country is also on the way to become the world's fifth largest economy in terms of GDP.
'Today, India is among the fastest growing economies in the world. Inflation is low, fiscal deficit is under control, foreign exchange reserves are growing and the impact of 'Make In India' is clearly visible,' the President said in his address to the joint sitting of both the Houses of Parliament.
He said work was underway in full earnest to transform India into a global manufacturing hub. Keeping in view Industry 4.0, a New Industrial Policy will be announced shortly.
