KMC to set up its first day-care school for girls

KMC to set up its first day-care school for girls

Kolkata, Dec 4 (UNI) For the first time, Kolkata Municipal Corporation

(KMC) is going to open a day-care school for girls.



The primary reason for opening this school is to take better care of the

children from low-income families, where both the parents have to go out

to work every day, and who make up the greater number of children

attending the KMC-run schools.



The school is being built on Kashiswar Chatterjee Lane in Cossipore,

which falls within ward number 1. It will start at 8 AM and get over at 5 PM.

Besides studies, the school will take care that the children get

adequate time to play, get meals, etc.



KMC has plans to start similar schools in south and central Kolkata,

Behala, Jadavpur and other areas.
