Kidney Racket: INTUC President sends memorandum to Mah Guv, CM seeks CBI probe

Thane, Jan 12 (UNI) The Indian National Trade Union Congress(INTUC) President of Mumbai Unit Suresh Gupta has sent a memorandum to the Maharashtra Governor Vidyasagar Rao and the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for ordering a CBI probe into the alleged suicide of the whistle blower and prime witness in the kidney racket case which reportedly happened at the Hiranandani Hospital.
The deceased whistleblower--Sundarsingh Balwant Singh--a resident of Diva town in Thane district was found hanging at his residence a couple of days back.
His body was highly decomposed owing to which a stench emanated from his house which raised the eyebrows of the neighbours,who in turn,alerted the police.
In the memorandum,Mr Gupta states that in July 2016 he along with the deceased exposed the ongoing racket at the Mumbai-based hospital.
Mr Gupta further explains the modus operandi of the racket in which the poor labourers and underprivileged were scissored "illegally".

"The deceased was one of the victims whose kidney was transplanted in March 2016.He is the prime eye-witness of the Hiranandani kidney racket case and he was ready to give his statement in the court," asserted Mr Gupta in the memorandum.
"Hence,we believe that it's not a suicide instead a brutal murder,"read the memorandum further.
Mr Gupta has cited various lapses in the investigation conducted by the local police,adding that,no suicide note was found in the house of the deceased.

He stressed that since illegal organ transplant is the "ugly side of healthcare in India" hence the central and state government should take a note of the kidney racket case which is rooted in many states of India and many high profile person/s have connection with the crime.

"The kidney racket case cannot be dismissed on the basis of death of the prime eye witness.As the statements given by the deceased exist in the form of video recording.Hence,the case must be admitted in the court of law,"urged Mr Gupta in the memorandum.
A request to depute Advocate Ujjwal Nikam in the said case was also made as he "fights for justice for the persons victimized by the high profile".
