Khelo India Games : Punjab’s tally stands at 65 medals including 22 gold, 17 silver & 25 bronze

Chandigarh, Jan 19 (UNI) Punjab on Saturday bagged two gold medals in basketball, one silver in football and one silver and two bronze medals in boxing in the ‘Khelo India Youth Games’ currently underway at Pune.
Punjab has so far bagged 65 medals which includes 22 gold, 18 silver and 25 bronze medals.
Stating the results, Mr Gurlal Singh Riar, State Sports Manager of Punjab in Khelo India Games, said that both boys and girls teams of Punjab won gold medal in Under-17 category beating Rajasthan by 91-78 and Tamilnadu by 76-71 in the basketball finals respectively.
