Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 15 (UNI) Kerala reported 12 deaths due to COVID-19 on Tuesday whereas 3,215 peoples tested positive to the virus, 2,532 patients have recovered from the disease and 31,156 patients are under treatment, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said this evening.
"Currently 2,08,141 people are under observation in the state -- 1,85,514 are under home or institutional quarantine and 22,627 in hospitals. So far 82,345 persons have been cured of COVID. Today, 2,324 persons were hospitalised due to COVID symptoms, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan told a press conference.
The CM confirmed 12 COVID deaths today. Muhammed Ali Haji (87), Paulson (53) and Chandran Nair (79) from Thrissur district, Madhavan (63) from Malappuram district; Leela (60), Harindran (67), Shahunathumma (64), Narayana Pillai (89) and Stanley (54) from Thiruvananthapuram district, Raveendran (69) from Kozhikode district, Ismail (55) from Ernakulam district and Khalid (55) from Palakkad district are the deceased. This takes the Covid related death toll in the State to 466, he added.
