Thiruvananthapuram, May 20 (UNI) Following Netherlands model of 'Room for the River' to reconstruct Kerala, which was hit by severe floods due to unusually high rainfall during the monsoon season in 2018, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday said that a meeting with Dutch authorities will be held to discuss various aspects of implementing the 'Room for the River' Project in the State.
Chief Minister told media that he had paid a field visit to a ‘Room for the River’ project at Noordward in Netherlands during his recent Europe tour.
The project aims to enable better management of higher water levels during floods and ensure safety of the inhabitants.
