Kendriya Vidyalayas top with 99.23 pass percentage in Class X Board Exam results

New Delhi, July 16 (UNI) Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has once again topped in the category of all institutions for the second consecutive year, scoring an impressive 99.23 per cent success rate in CBSE Class X Results-2020, announced Wednesday, against the overall CBSE pass percentage of 91.46.

As many as 9,104 students scored more than 90 per cent marks of whom an astounding 1,717 students garnered over 95 per cent marks, an official release here said.



Of the total 94,498 students who appeared in the exams from KVS, as many as 93,774 students passed, recording an overall pass percentage of 99.23.

Abhay Nayak of KV Sambalpur in Odisha scored 497 out of 500 marks (99.4 per cent) emerging the All India topper among Kendriya Vidyalayas.

As many as 50,591 boys and 43,183 girls who were studying in 1,168 KVS have passed.

With a pass percentage of 99.23, KVS has pipped to the post Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya which had a performance rating of 98.66 per cent, Central Tibetan School Administration (CTSA) of 93.67, Independent schools - 92.81, Government schools - 80.91 and Government aided schools - 77.82.
