New Delhi, Nov 27 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to stop all flights from countries where new variant of the Corona 'omicron' has been detected.
Mr Kejriwal tweeted, "I appeal to the Prime Minister to immediately suspend air services from countries affected by the new variant of Corona. Our country has come out of Corona's havoc with great difficulty. All necessary steps should be taken to ensure that the new variant of the Corona does not enter India. "
Importantly, 23 new cases of COVID-19 came to light in Delhi on Friday and the infection rate currently stands at 0.04 percent. Thus far 114,40,807 cases of the infection have been detected in Delhi, while more than 14.15 lakh people have been cured. So far 25,095 people have died due to corona infection in Delhi.
