Puducherry, Nov 16 (UNI) The Karaikal region in this Union Territory bore the burnt along with Nagapattinam in Tamil Nadu due to the severe Cyclonic storm 'Gaja', which crossed between Nagapattinam and Vedaranyam early on Friday morning.
Though, there was no loss of life reported in the region,a large number of trees were uprooted under the impact of strong wind speed of around 100 kmph, affecting the vehicular traffic in the entire stretch.
