Kalyan-Dombivli civic employees strike work to protest attack on on-duty staff

Thane, Nov 15 (UNI) Nearly 500 employees of the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC), including officers, struck work on Thursday to protest against the attack on on-duty KDMC staff on Wednesday.

The KDMC staff had gone to Umbarde village on Wednesday, to carry out a survey for the proposed new pumping station, to be built in the village.

Mumbai, May 13 (UNI) Eight people died and sixty-three people were injured in an incident in the Ghatkopar area of Mumbai where a large hoarding fell at a petrol pump station, and in the Wadala area, a multi-story, vertical steel parking lot crashed on a main road in the aftermath of a massive dust storm that shrouded the city for over two hours. Bombay Municipal Corporation Disaster Control said.
