Jyotiraditya expresses sadness over speculations on leaving BJP

New Delhi, Jun 6 (UNI) BJP leader Jyotiraditya M Scindia on Saturday rubbished the speculations that he was quitting the saffron party to go back to Congress, the party where he stayed for around 18 years.
'Sadly, false news travels faster than the truth,' he said in his tweet after a section of media reported that he has removed ‘BJP’ from his Twitter profile.
However, later it emerged that Mr Scindia never mentioned ‘BJP’ in his Twitter profile.
Mr Scindia’s supporter Krishna Rathore trashed the rumours, saying there has been no change in the bio of the politician and have called the rumour mongering a Congress conspiracy.
Also, Mr Scindia retweeted Rathore’s tweet that mentioned that his Twitter bio remained unchanged and that rumours surrounding it were baseless.
'The news in the media about Jyotiraditya Scindia are completely baseless. Scindia ji has not made any changes in his twitter bio. His bio was mentioned that he is a cricket lover and public servant and it remains the same today,' he tweeted.
Mr Scindia quit the Congress after a rift with party leader Kamal Nath and the party’s central leadership. He wanted a Rajya Sabha berth but the Congress denied him the same. He then quit the grand old party and joined the BJP which nominated him to the Upper House from the landlocked state.
Mr Scindia had contested the Lok Sabha elections last year from the traditional family seat of Guna, but lost to his former aide and BJP’s Krishna Pal Singh Yadav by nearly 1.25 lakh votes.
