John Lamble topples top seed Sanam Singh

Chandigarh, Apr 26 (UNI) John Lamble of United States pulled off the biggest upset by toppling top seed Sanam Singh, a former Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association trainee in straight sets 6-4, 7-5 in the first round of the
10,000 ITF Men's Futures Tennis Tournament at the Sector 10 Tennis Stadium here today.
Ranked 1065th Lamble disposed of the challenge of 374th ranked Sanam Singh in one hour and 49 minutes. As many as 18 double faults, including 11 by Lambe were recorded in the match.Sanam had a fine start as he broke the American in the first game of the first set and held his serve to take a 2-0 lead. Lamble hit back by breaking Sanam in the fourth game to make it 2-2.
