JD(S) leader Revanna ask BJP govt to take up urgent steps to rebuild Homes razed during recent floods in Karnataka

Belagavi. Aug 20 (UNI) Former Karnataka Minister and Janata Dal (S) Leader H D Revanna said that the BJP Government should make special efforts and allocate more funds to create rehabilitation of the people and rebuild Houses damaged during the recent floods and unprecedented rains in over 17 districts in Karnataka and alleged that the BJP government was lethargic in bringing relief to the affected people.
Speaking to reporters here, he said he had inspected the flood affected region in Krishna basin and the government was less than satisfactory as people were left to suffer. ‘’They do not know whether to leave the relief camps or reach their homes that is razed by the floods,’’ he said.
Revanna inspected various places in Khanapur in Belagavi and some places in Dharwad that was seriously affected by floods. He said heavy rains in other places in Karnataka had affected the lives of lakhs of families Coastal and Western ghat districts. But the union government did not respond and the state government should release funds immediately to take up relief measures when over 17 Districts reeled under the floods and deluge caused by heavy rains.
