Javed Akhtar meets Kejriwal

New Delhi, Feb 14 (UNI) Lyricist-screenwriter Javed Akhtar on Friday met AAP national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister-designate Arvind Kejriwal at latter's residence to congratulate him on his win in the state assembly polls.

AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh was also present on the occasion.

'It was a pleasure receiving Javed Akhtar sahab today at my residence,' Mr Kejriwal said in a tweet.

Kejriwal-led AAP registered a landslide victory in the February 8 Delhi Assembly polls, winning 62 of 70 seats, reducing the Bharatiya Janata Party to single eight.

In the results, announced on February 11, a decimated Indian National Congress, which had ruled Delhi for 15 years under Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, again failed to open its account.
