J&K Sports Council engages 22 outstanding athletes under 'Khelo India' scheme for one-year

Jammu, Jul 29 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council have engaged 22 outstanding athletes in different disciplines at various centres across the Union Territory for a period of one year under 'Khelo India' scheme to give fillip to the sports sector.
'Khelo India' is a National Programme for Development of Sports, branded as Khelo India, aimed at improving India’s sports culture at the grassroots level through organised talent identification, structured sporting competitions and infrastructure development.
As per an order signed by the Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council, Nuzhat Gull, past champion athletes are engaged as coach, mentors in their respective Sports disciplines at Khelo India Centres at district level on tenure basis.
