J&K KVIB to organize National Level Khadi Exhibition at Kashmir Haat

Srinagar, Sep 16 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) is organizing a month- long National Level Khadi Exhibition at Kashmir Haat Srinagar from September 18, 2018.
Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) will inaugurate the event. Entrepreneurs from across the country are participating and displaying their Khadi and Village Industries products, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Kashmir Division) Muzaffar Alaqaband said.
He said the motive of this exhibition is to give an impetus to Khadi and Village Industries products.

Pune, April 26 (UNI) Day temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at many places over West Bengal and Sikkim; at isolated places over Bihar and Odisha; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at a few places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and
Karaikal and Kerala and Mahe; at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya, east Uttar Pradesh and Telangana; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at most places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and Rayalaseema; at many places over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad; at a few places over Chhattisgarh and Lakshadweep; at isolated places over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, west Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Saurashtra and Kutch, Vidarbha, Konkan and Goa and Andaman and Nicobar Islands and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 44.0°C was reported at Kothagudem (Telangana) over the country.

Mizoram-Myanmar border closure looms as Assam Rifles inform villagers

Aizawl, April 26 (UNI) The Ministry of Home Affairs is yet to officially inform the Mizoram government of the closure of the Mizoram-Myanmar border, while Assam Rifles personnel have informed villagers along the border areas that the international border will be closed on May 1, a senior home department official said on Friday.
