Intl Copper Assn holds seminar on energy efficient motor standards

New Delhi, Feb 20 (UNI) The International Copper Association India (ICA India) organised a one-day seminar on energy efficient motor standards and emerging challenges, here at India Habitat Center on Wednesday.
Managing Director of ICA India Sanjeev Ranjan said, ''ICA has always been at the forefront for taking initiatives to provide a platform for dialogue between the governing bodies, regulatory bodies and industries, to bridge the gaps and work collectively with the larger vision of betterment for the national economy."
"We hope that our seminar on energy efficient motor standards provides all the stakeholders the ground to come up with solutions for the challenges related to adoption of Higher Efficiency Motors (HEMs) and finding new solutions for transforming the national markets towards high efficiency motors and motor systems", added Mr Ranjan.
Manager-Motor & Motor Driven Systems, ICA Abhishek Dhupar, said ''Since, IS 12615 was brought under mandatory certification for improving efficiency standard for Motors in India, the demand and usage of IE2 and above motors has increased and hence, this seminar was an effort to address the issues related to mandatory certification.
''It is heartening to see that the industry participated in this seminar wholeheartedly. We believe that the discussions that have taken place here today, will lead to executable solutions,'' Mr Dhupar added.
