Inter-Ministerial Central team in Hyderabad to assess COVID-19 situation

Hyderabad, Apr 25 (UNI) An Inter-Ministerial Central Team (IMCT) on Saturday visited the new 1500 bedded COVID-19 hospital in Gachibowli area here on Saturday.

The team members who arrived in the city on Friday evening made an on the spot assessment besides interacting with the state health officials.

The team members will also visit other places around the city.

The state authorities will provide all the necessary information to the IMCT, according to sources.

The sources said that the team members will issue necessary directions to state authorities for the redressal of the situation and later submit a report to the Centre.

It may be mentioned that the Union Home Ministry has constituted IMCTs to assess COVID-19 situation in emerging hot spots of Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Surat, Chennai and Mumbai.
