Innovation should be inclusive: Prashant Girbane

Pune, Mar 24 (UNI) Mr. Prashant Girbane, Director of Maratha Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA), delivered a keynote address as the chief guest at the inauguration of the 5th National Conference on Global Innovative Trends, organized by MIT Art, Design and Technology University Pune.
Girbane spoke on the importance of inclusive innovation and its role in promoting economic development and social progress.
In his address, Girbane emphasized that innovation is not just about developing new technologies or products, but also about creating value for society. He stated, "Innovation must be inclusive so that everyone has the opportunity to participate and benefit from technological advances. This is critical for promoting economic growth, reducing inequality, and advancing social progress."
Girbane also highlighted the role of education and training in promoting inclusive innovation. "We need to invest in education and training to build a skilled workforce that can drive innovation and entrepreneurship. "This requires a concerted effort from businesses, government, and educational institutions to provide the necessary resources and support to enable everyone to participate in the innovation process," he said. Universities should pay more attention to research. Today's youth talk about the digital world. India has been connected to digital payments through UPI. Nandan Nilkeni has done this research. The world is looking towards India when it comes to digital payments. The use of e-commerce will increase in the next five years. Digital technology plays an important role in research. The use of hydrogen fuel will increase in the future. Our current energy depends on certain areas. Hydrogen fuel has the potential to change the world.
Dr. Rajkumar Prasad Singh said a student's degree in any field will be useful only if they do some research in that field. The research will strengthen the country's economy. Indian research papers should be published in international-level journals. Indians are not positive about patents, but it is necessary to get a patent. For a PhD, students should publish their research articles in good publications. There should be a national-level research lab. The Prime Minister's Fellowship should be used by students for research.
