Industry Minister assures food park in Manipur

Imphal, Aug 8 (UNI) The Government of India has approved in principle, the construction of a Mega Food Park in Manipur at a cost of about Rs 80 crore, said Union Minister of State, Ministry of Food Processing Industries Rameswar Teli here today.
Inaugurating a workshop on Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana at Hotel Imphal, Teli said centre will provide Rs 50 crore for the park. He assured that there is no lack of fund in the ministry for entrepreneurs and called upon all to send proposals to the government for such projects.
Minister Textiles, Commerce and Industries, Thongam Biswajit Singh urged the entrepreneurs to take advantage of the provisions of the scheme. He said the entrepreneurs should be from all parts of the state. It aims at providing employment to the people and build up the feeling of national integration.
