Indian women archers bag gold in Compound

Shillong, Feb 8 (UNI) India bagged the gold medal in the archery compound women match in the First Ground of the Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex at the South Asian Games here today.
Purvasha Sudhir Shinde, Jyoti Surekha Vennam and Lily Chanu Paonam kept India at the top all the way through the match hitting the target with no less than seven, even through towards the last round they were seemingly shaken.
The Indian eves scored a total of 228 points against their counterpart Bangladesh’s Shushma Banik, Tammanna Parvin, and Roksana Akter, who scored a total of 217 points.
