India lead 2-0 against Pakistan in Davis Cup

Nur Sultan, Nov 29 (UNI) India tennis players Ramkumar Ramanathan and Sumit Nagal stupendous performace against Pakistan players helped them gain 2-0 lead in the round one of Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Group one here on Friday.
In the opening singles match Ramkumar had an easy victory against Pakistan's Muhammed Shoaib winning the game in straight sets by 6-0, 6-0 to wrap up the game in 42 minutes.
While his compatriot Sumit Nagal also continued the winning momentum defeating Hufaiza Mohammed Rehman 6-0 6-2 in the second singles ending the game in 64 minutes.
This is seventh encounter between India and Pakistan in Davis Cup history and is close towards its seventh victory. The remaining three matches will be played here on Saturday.
Experienced Leander Paes and debutant Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan will face Hufaiza and Shoaib in the doubles on Saturday. The fourth encounter will see Nagal facing Shoaib and fifth match will be held between Rehman and Ramanathan.
