IJU condemns attack on Journalist in Manipur

Hyderabad, Oct 27 (UNI) Indian Journalist Union (IJU) has condemned the attack on a local journalist in Manipur allegedly by Congress Party workers.
According to a report in News Daily from Imphal, a group of people allegedly belonging to Congress party of Thoubal District on Sunday assaulted Elangbam Rameswar, a correspondent working for a local news paper.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, IJU President K. Sreenivas Reddy and Secretary General Balwinder Singh Jammu decried the attack and demanded immediate action against the assailants.
