IISc pays Rs 10 lakhs Exgratia to wife of Manoj Kumar killed in blast at lab

Bengaluru, Dec 7 (UNI) The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) has released ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakhs to wife of Mr Manoj P, Project Engineer of Super Wave Technologies Pvt. Ltd., who died while working for the startup in the laboratory of Hypersonic and Shockwave Research at the Institute on December 5.
A team from the Institute headed by the Director Prof Anurad Kumar visited the M S Ramaiah Hospital, where three injured in the blast are undergoing treatment, according to a press release by IISc here on Friday.
The Director has assured the relatives of the injured that the Institute will cover the medical expenses of the injured employees of the Super Wave Technologies Pvt. Ltd., in excess of insurance cover.
