ICU Complex to be developed at VIMSAR

Sambalpur,Nov 29 (UNI) The authorities of the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla have taken a decision to develop a 30 bed ICU Complex in the hospital to provide better health care to the people.
Director of VIMSAR, Lalit Meher said, a ground plus five storey building was constructed on the premises of the VIMSAR in 2016. However, it has been lying unutilized. We have taken a decision to make at least two floors of the building, which is located near the medicine ward of the hospital, ready and make a 30 bed ICU complex and an integrated operation theatre there, he said.
“Some modification work will be required in the building to make it an ICU complex. We have already asked the Public Works Department (PWD) to prepare an estimate for the modification work. We will send the estimate to the government and the modification work will start immediately after the estimate is approved, he said.
