HPMC turnover touches Rs 634 cr as apple economy grow

Shimla, Sept 21(UNI) Horticulture Minister and Chairperson of HP Horticulture Produce Marketing and Processing Corporation (HPMC) Vidya Stokes today claimed that HPMC turnover has risen to Rs 634 crore with increasing size of apple economy from Rs 4000 crore to Rs 5000 crore in the state.
Addressing a public meeting after inaugurating a newly renovated modern office of HPMC at Nigam Vihar here,Ms Stokes said during the last three years, the turnover of the Corporation stood at Rs 6228.73 lakhs during 2013-14 with growth of 72 per cent which was Rs 5145.75 lakhs during 2014-15 (with 42 per cent growth) an Rs 7368.34 lakhs during 2015-16 (with 103 per cent growth) and Rs 6240.40 lakhs in 2016-17 as compared to turnover of Rs 3630.12 lakhs during the year 2012-13 which is a positive indicator for the revival of the Corporation.
She launched the HPMC ‘Web Portal’ under the Process Automation Project funded by the Department of Information and Technology of the Government of India.
