HP appoints Dhawala as Deputy Chairman of State Planning Board

Shimla, Oct 12 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh state government appointed Ramesh Dhawala as Deputy Chairman of the state Planning Board with immediate effect as a cabinet rank functionary, statement said on Friday.
Mr Dhawahala was the minister in the Prem Kumar Dhumal government (1998 to 2012).
BJP formed its government last year in the state,however, he was not given any portfolio.
The government has also appointed Baldev Bhandari as Chairman of the State Agricultural Marketing Board with immediate effect. The notifications has also been issued in this regard.
Government's new appointment is seen as move to brace up the party for the up coming Lok Sabha elections as senior party leaders such as Mr Dhawala and Narendra Bragta have been ignored for long time.
Recently, Mr Bragta has also been appointed as new party chief whip with cabinet rank berth.
