Anantapur, Apr 4 (UNI) The horticulture farmers in this district of Andhra Pradesh have got relief for harvesting their crops as the district authorities relaxed the lockdown restrictions, imposed to contain the spread of Coronavirus.
The farmers bore the brunt as they could not harvest their crops and sell the produce in the market yards since the lockdown was imposed by the Centre.
Anantapur district is considered to be hub for horticulture crops as the farmers raise horticulture crops, including banana, mango, sweet orange, grapes, pomegranate, watermelon and muskmelon, guava Papaya and vegetables in over 2.02 lakh hectares.
