Highest Agriculture productivity in Telangana: Janardhan Reddy

Hyderabad, Apr 22 (UNI) Telangana Principal Secretary for Agriculture and Co-operation Dr B Janardhan Reddy has said that every inch of Telangana is cultivated today and the state has seen highest productivity ever in its history with 100 million tonnes of paddy cultivation.

During a Webinar, on “ Supporting Agriculture & Horticulture in COVID-19 - Practical Approaches and Strategies”, organized by The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) in association with The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and industry (FICCI) here on Wednesady, Dr Reddy said , “The state has exceeded all parameters in the production of agriculture produce even in these challenging Covid-19 days. Paddy was cultivated in more than 90 lakh acres across the state. Maize production reached 15 lakhs MT and cotton 17 lakh MT. 65000 MT sweet oranges were cultivated in the district of Nalgonda and Mahabubnagar.
