New Delhi, Mar 16 (UNI) Condemning the horrible massacre at two mosques in New Zealand on Friday, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday called the attack as a warning to the entire world and said hatred is never benign.
In a tweet, she said, “The horrific terrorist act in New Zealand should be a warning to the whole world: hatred is NEVER benign.”
Expressing concern about the victims and their families, the newly-inducted leader said, “My heart goes out to the victims and their families, may love and support from the millions who are repelled by this crime sustain them and give them courage.”
On Friday evening, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote a letter to his New Zealand counterpart Jacinda Ardern and underscored India's solidarity with the people of her country at this difficult time.
The massacre during Friday prayers killed 49 people and wounded more than 40 others in the country's worst-ever mass shooting.
