Haryana govt decides to allow a PGT, TGT to clear HTET by Aprl

Chandigarh, Jul 16 (UNI) Haryana Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma today, said the state government has decided to allow Primary Teachers (PRT) and Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) an opportunity to clear the Haryana Teachers Eligibility Test (HTET) examination by April 1, 2018,
Mr Sharma said in 2013-14, the previous government had, given a one-time concession in HTET to PGT, PRT and TGT teachers, imposing a condition in the service rules to clear HTET examination by April 1, 2015.
He also said that in 2012, Directorate of Secondary Education had notified the service rules of teachers and lecturers of all categories at its own level. On September 12, 2014, the Directorate of Secondary Education got the notified amended rules, according to which the lecturers had to clear the examination by April 1, 2018 instead of April 1, 2015. The Directorate had not got this amendment made in the service rules of PRTs.
