Guterres extends condolences to people of Afghanistan

United Nations, June 22 (UNI) UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres expressed his condolences to the people of Afghanistan after a deadly earthquake hit the country on Wednesday.
"My heart goes out to the people of Afghanistan who are already reeling from the impact of years of conflict, economic hardship and hunger. I convey my deep condolences to the families of the victims and wish speedy recovery to the injured," Guterres said.
He noted that the UN in Afghanistan is fully mobilized, reports Sputnik.
