Group of 22 young business leaders, entrepreurs to attend G-20 Summit at Berlin

Panaji, Jun 13 (UNI) A group of 22 young business leaders and entrepreneurs, part of CII’s Young Indians, will attend the G-20 Summit at Berlin in Germany on June 15 and 16.
According to a statement issued by industry body Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) here today, the Summit will be attended by delegations from the following countries Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Europe, France, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, United States and United Kingdom.
The G-20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance (G-20 YEA) is a global network of approximately 5,00,000 young entrepreneurs and the organizations that support them.
In conjunction with the 2016 G-20 Leaders’ Summit in Hangzhou, China, hundreds of young entrepreneurs had met in Beijing for the annual G-20 YEA Summit from September 8 to 10, 2016. This gathering built upon a tradition of collaboration between the world’s young entrepreneurs that began in Italy at G-8 Summit in 2009 and continued at successive G-20 YEA Summits in Canada, France, Mexico, Russia, Australia and Turkey.
Shaurya Veer Himatsingka, past national chairman, Young Indians and president, G-20 YEA, said, "Young Indians, as a recognized body and a part of the official G-20 process, has been instrumental in engaging and contributing to impact the findings of the G-20 in raising awareness and addressing the issues of emerging entrepreneurs across the globe."
Jacob Joy, national chairman, Young Indians & Sherpa, G-20 YEA, said, "It is a pleasure for Young Indians to represent India on an esteemed global platform. The team Young Indians is excited to be a part of this prestigious event and look forward to meeting like-minded entrepreneurs and get an insight into the global best practices."
Young Indians (Yi) is an integral part of the CII, a non-government, not-for-profit, industry-led and industry-managed organisation playing a proactive role in India's development process. Yi was formed in the year 2002 with an objective of creating a platform for young Indians to realize the dream of a developed nation.
Yi has around 2,600 direct members in 40 chapters, and engages around 8,500 students under the brand ‘Yuva’.
The Yi membership includes young progressive Indians between the age group of 21 and 40 and comprises entrepreneurs, professionals and achievers from different walks of life.
"To become the Voice of Young Indians Globally" being the vision of Yi, it provides a platform for young Indians to participate in and contribute by becoming an integral part of the Indian growth story. Yi's work is divided primarily into three groups; 'Youth Leadership', 'Nation Building' and 'Thought Leadership'.
