Government should have done proper home work before demonetisation: Nitish

Samastipur, Nov 18 (UNI) Amid ruckus in both houses of Parliament over hardship being faced by common man following ban imposed on high value notes, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said Narendra Modi government should have done proper home work before demonetisation. Mr Kumar, while addressing a public meeting during his Nishchay Yatra, said the people were facing lot of difficulties across the country following ban imposed on high value notes and such a situation could have been avoided, had Narendra Modi government taken concrete measures before the demonetisation launched to curb black money. Chief Minister said sufficient supply of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes should have been maintained to mitigate the suffering of the people. It appeared that no such exercise was carried out before launching such a massive operation, he remarked. Mr Kumar, while maintaining that there would not be any compromise with liquor ban, said suggestions received for modification in prohibition law would be placed before all party meeting to be convened soon. Views of political parties would also be taken for modification in prohibition law, he added.
