Goa polls: EC issues notice to Kejriwal for asking voters to accept bribe offered by Oppn

New Delhi, Jan 16 (UNI) The Election Commission today issued a notice to Delhi Chief Minister and AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal for violating the Model Code of Conduct(MCC) in poll-bound Goa during his public speech in the state on January 8 in which he had asked voters to accept bribe offered by BJP and Congress.
The Poll Panel has asked Mr Kejriwal to give his explanation by 1300 hrs on January 19, the notice issued by the Commission said.
The Commission has received an online complaint from the BJP forwarded by the CEO, Goa alleging that Mr Kejriwal have deliberately and intentionally instigated the public to take bribe for voting and thereby abetted the offence of bribery during the electoral process by making a statement during a public speech in Mapusa, Bardez Taluka, Goa on January 8.

New Delhi, April 25 (UNI) In a bid to encourage passengers to exercise their democratic right to vote in the parliamentary elections, National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) on Thursday launched a campaign for the second phase of Lok Sabha polls, scheduled to be held on April 26.
