Glenmark gets ANDA approval for Adapalene and Benzoyl Peroxide Gel

New Delhi, Apr 29 (UNI) Pharma Major Glenmark Pharmaceuticals US (Glenmark) today said it has received tentative approval by the United States Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) for Adapalene and Benzoyl Peroxide Gel.
''Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc, US (Glenmark) has been granted tentative approval by the United States Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) for Adapalene and Benzoyl Peroxide Gel, 0.1per cent |2.5 per cent ,the generic version of Epiduo Gel of Galderma Laboratories LP,'' said the company in a filing to BSE.
According to an US healthcare company IMS, the Epiduo Gel market achieved annual sales of approximately 351.8 million dollars for the 12-month period ending February, 2016.
The company’s current portfolio consists of 112 products authorized for distribution in the US marketplace and 58 Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA)’s pending approval with the USFDA.
Glenmark continues to identify and explore external development partnerships to supplement and accelerate the growth of its existing pipeline and portfolio,the company added.
The company has a significant presence in the branded generics markets across emerging economies including India. GPL along with its subsidiary has 16 manufacturing facilities across five countries and has six R&D centers.
