GITP demands low-cost revival of Goan school computer labs, plans to approach PMO

Panaji, Sep 30 (UNI) GITP, a group of IT professionals in Goa, today demanded that government revive computer labs in government-run schools in the state and said it was planning to approach Prime Minister's Office (PMO) to force right decisions.
A press statement from GITP here said, in a meeting on September 21 last with Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar and his team comprising heads from the Education and IT departments, Goa IT Professionals (GITP) presented once again their recommendations regarding revival of school-level computer education (curriculum as well as infrastructure) which had been in dilapidated condition throughout the tenure of the government.
GITP had earlier on Janauray 27 this year met the Chief Minister and his team, including Goa InfoTech Corporation leaders,on the same matter and had been following up ever since for time-bound and judicious utilization of the Rs 25 crore provisioned by the government for the purpose in the current financial year, it said.
