New Delhi, May 21 (UNI) Girls outshined the boys yet again in the CBSE Class 12th board examinations, with Delhi girl Sukriti Gupta of Montfort School topping the exams with 99.4 per cent. While the overall pass percentage this year is 83.05 per cent, girls fared better than boys with a pass percentage of 88.58 per cent. According to CBSE officials, the pass percentage this year has increased by a marginal 1.05 per cent as compared to last year's 82 per cent . The boys scored a pass percentage of 78.85 per cent. Sukriti Gupta of Montfort school in Delhi is the topper with 99.4 per cent while Palak Goyal of Haryana was at the second spot with 99.2 per cent and Soumya of Haryana was on third position. Kerala's capital Thiruvananthapuram recorded the highest overall pass percentage in the country at 97.61 per cent . A total number of of 10,67,900 students appeared for the exam this year, as against 10,40,368 in 2015, a 2.38 per cent increase over last year. The result is available on three websites- www.results.nic.in, www.cbseresults.nic.in and www.cbse.nic.in. The schools will get their entire results on email IDs already registered with the CBSE board. From this year CBSE will provide class 12 digital marksheets in DigiLocker at www.digilocker.gov.in. The DigiLocker account credentials will be sent to students via SMS on their registered mobile number. The exams began on March 1 and concluded on April 22. UNI SHS/AR ADG
