Gangasagar Mela 2020 a huge success

Kolkata, Jan 17 (UNI) Congratulating one and all for making the pan-India congregation at Gangasagar a grand success, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has come down heavily on the BJP-led Central government for not providing any money for the fair.
Ms Banerjee stated that it passed off peacefully without a single untoward incident taking place.
Addressing a gathering at the dharna demanding the withdrawal of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC), Banerjee said: “The Centre did not provide a single rupee and it is the Bengal government that has the courage and power to make such a big show a grand success. Not a single untoward incident happened.”
