Fuel-efficient cooking stoves distributed among Rohingyas

Dhaka, Feb 25 ( UNI) As the presence of a huge number of Rohingya refugees has posed a risk to local forest and environment, an environmental organisation has come forward in protecting the environment.
The organisation ‘LEDARS’ started a pilot project titled “Improve Environmental Condition of Rohingya Camp in Bangladesh” with the support from UK-based NGO, HANDS.
Under the project, LEDARS initially distributed 500 fuel-efficient cook stoves among the refugees in Jamtoli camp under the supervision of Mohammad Rezaul Karim, Senior Assistant Secretary and Mohammad Anas Ibne Monjur, 40 Field Artillery Camp Commander of Bangladesh Army, on February 22.
