The appointment of Mr Chauhan was embroiled in a major controversy and had sparked widespread protests among FTII students and a cross section of personalities. The opponents had termed Mr Chauhan’s appointment as FTII chief at RSS behest.“The RSS has no role in my appointment as FTII chief. Mohan Bhagwat is like a father figure to me and I had come to invite him for my son’s wedding.
