Hyderabad, Jul 12 (UNI) The ladies wing of Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) headed by Ms Bhagwati Baldwa has launched its first three series Online Mentorship programme for Women Entrepreneurs in the state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to make them Covid-19 ready.
Speaking on the occasion FTCCI President S Jasti said, “ Our idea is to 'Embrace, Engage and Empower' women entrepreneurs across the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. In this golden age of globalization, digitalization and start-up booms, India is clearly seeing a revolution vis-à-vis women entrepreneurs.
The sixth economic census released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) highlights that women constitute around 14 per cent of the total entrepreneurship in India. Today’s women entrepreneurs do not come only from the established business families or from the higher-income sections of the population, they come from all walks of life and from all parts of the country.
From running sports media firms to construction companies and security and detective agencies – women are dabbling into fields that have traditionally been bastions of male domination, he said.
Manter C S Kanika said, “This first mentorship programme is organized for the benefit of the women entrepreneurs, startups and MSMEs. The current pandemic situation has led to unprecedented challenges for the businesses and the economy as a whole.
The pandemic impact has equally been challenging for the women in areas such as work-life balance, difficulty in accessing financial resources, legal issues and lack of awareness on various schemes and incentives being provided by the Central Government”.
This 3 session program will be held on July 12, 18 and 25.
The series of sessions will provide handholding support and training on legal way to start/ run new business ventures, government incentives and subsidies for new/existing business, loan and finance facilities from banks and other financial institutions, new business opportunities and methods for entrepreneurs, MSME Schemes for clusters, IPR, export virtual marketing, a statement here said.
