New Delhi, Sep 23 (UNI) Altogether 1.26 crore people have availed treatment free-of-cost and more than 12 and a half crore e-cards have been issued since the launch of Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in September 2018, Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Harsh Vardhan has said.
Dr Harsh Vardhan, who was presiding over Arogya Manthan 2.0 late on Tuesday on the second anniversary of the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, described the scheme as a historic step and the largest health plan in the world, providing free health insurance to more than 53 crore Indians of socially and economically weaker sections by providing health insurance of Rs five lakh per family per year.
