New Delhi, Sep 23 (UNI) French Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian today expressed solidarity with India in its fight against terrorism saying France stands with India in the anti-terror fight. Mr Le Drian, who called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi here, expressed condolences for the victims of the September 18 cross-border terrorist attack at Uri in Jammu and Kashmir, and expressed his country's resolve to strengthen bilateral counter-terrorism cooperation. He briefed the PM on the current status of bilateral defence cooperation. The PM welcomed the signing of the inter-governmental agreement on purchase of 36 Rafale aircraft earlier in the day, and called for its speedy and timely implementation. Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and Mr Le Drian, who specially flew in to India, inked the deal paving way for procurement of the Rafale fighters for the IAF. UNI SD RSA AE 1919
