Forty thousand Gurungs meet organized in Gangtok

Gangtok, Nov 17 (UNI)The Gurungs of Sikkim are gearing up for a State level meet.
Gurungs,a sub community of Sikkimese Nepalese with their own language and unique culture, costumes are striving to preserve their heritage.
"Presevation of Culture is our main concern. All Sikkim Gurung (Tamu) Association is trying for it. Our population in the State is approximately over forty thousand," said Advocate Laxman Gurung, President of ASG (T) BA (Interim Committee).
