Flood victims from north Kashmir stage protest in Srinagar over delay in relief

Srinagar, May 14 (UNI) Scores of protestors from north Kashmir district of Bandipora today staged a demonstration here, against the alleged failure of the government to provide them flood-relief.
Raising slogans in favour of their demands, the agitators, hailing from Sumbal in Bandipora, took to the streets at Press Enclave here. They alleged that the government has totally ignored their sufferings and was non-serious towards the rehabilitation of flood victims.
“We received Rs 3800 cheques soon after the floods, but since then, we have been waiting for the relief, which was promised by the state government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” said a protestor.
