Flash Floods: J&K Guv directs for disbursement of relief from Mar 10

Jammu, Mar 2 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra today directed completion of disbursement of additional financial assistance to the flood affected households on a time bound basis.
While reviewing the status of preparedness in a meeting here with B R Sharma, Chief Secretary and B B Vyas, Financial Commissioner, Planning and Development Department, the Governor has directed that the time bound disbursement of additional financial assistance will begin on March 10.
The funds will be transferred directly to the bank account of the beneficiaries electronically by the concerned Deputy Commissioners who have been directed to reconfirm the data available with NDMA in respect of the damaged houses for direct transfer of financial assistance into the bank accounts of the eligible owners of flood affected houses.
