Fisherman kills in tiger attack in the Sundarbans

Gosaba (South 24 Parganas),, Aug 11 (UNI) Haripada Mandal, a resident of Gosabar in South 24 Parganas district, was killed in a tiger attack.
According to police and local sources, Haripada went fishing in the Sundarbans river with three companions last Saturday. While fishing on Wednesday morning, a tiger suddenly came out of the jungle and jumped on Haripada. Immediately his companions attacked the tiger with sticks and rods. The fight between tigers and humans has been going on for some time. In the end, the tiger gave up and left Haripada and went into the forest.
Haripada was rushed to Gosaba Block Hospital with serious injuries. Shortly after the initial treatment, the doctor declared Haripada dead. Later the police went and recovered the body.
